A Journey into Your Utensils Drawer

Enter your kitchen — take a look around. The sink is over there... There's the fridge nearby... Now, go to the utensil drawer and open it. Is it tidy? Is it messy? Whatever it is – it's filled with Hebrew:

Take out a spoon — you are now holding a "kaf"(כף). Put the kaf back in the drawer... Unless now happens to be a real good time for some cereal.

Take out a knife — you are now holding a "sakin" (סכין). Put the sakin back in the drawer unless you feel like spreading something yummy on a piece of bread.

Take out a fork — you are now holding a "mazleg" (מזלג). Put the mazleg back in the drawer unless you’ve reached the conclusion that, hey, lunch is coming up.

Now, every time you open your kitchen drawer, you'll remember your kaf taught you some Hebrew! Thanks, kaf! If your kitchen alone can teach you so much, imagine what you could do in one of our classes! Join us at the Rosen School of Hebrew, and experience just how fun using what you’ve learned can be.
