What’s YOUR Favorite Hebrew Word?
We don't always know why we like what we like, but we sure do enjoy the feeling it gives us! That's why we asked some of our students at the Rosen School to share their favorite Hebrew words and why they love them.
Here are some of our favorite responses:
Danny: My favorite word, "Ahava" (אהבה) means love.
Rina: I’ve always loved the word, "Shemesh" (שמש) sun. It even sounds bright!
Moshe: For me it's, "Yam" (ים) the word for sea- short and endless at the same time.
Rebecca: The first Hebrew word I remember I connected to was "Mitz" (מיץ) meaning juice. It sounded so funny, I loved it!
Jen: I like, "Kelev" (כלב) for dog, because it contains, "Lev" (לב) the word for heart. As a dog lover, it makes complete sense.
